My Counseling Approach:
When it feels like we are living in the midst of an avalanche of problems, what can we do? While it may not always seem like it, the truth is this: there is hope and a future, and you can indeed find it! My counseling style involves active listening, and in our journey together, I will hear your story, offer empathy, care, and support, and guide you to healing and wholeness in Jesus Christ. Trusting in God’s promises, we can depend upon His word which says, “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philipians 2:13. Your story matters to me and it matters to God. Together we can work toward identifying solid solutions to help overcome the issues you face.
I have a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts Counseling degree from Western Evangelical Seminary. Prior to this, I received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Aldersgate College. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of Washington, and have 32 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in crisis situations, specifically in abuse and neglect interventions.
I am greatly blessed to be a husband of over 35 years to my beautiful wife and a father to our talented and wonderful daughter. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing inspirational messages, singing, playing the Irish drum in a Celtic music group, and enjoying the tranquility of the great outdoors.
