I believe that trust is integral to the counseling process. Therefore, I strive to create a genuine and compassionate setting to assist and guide clients. I also think it is important to recognize and appreciate the powerful effect that relationships have in our lives. My approach seeks to build safeguards against negative relationship effects, and further explore and enhance positive relationship effects. Through counseling, my goal is to help you learn more about yourself, and provide practical solutions to better mental well-being, habits, and behaviors.
I am currently in my third year of studying for a master's degree in professional counseling. I have a bachelor's degree in history, with a minor in psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and a master's degree in theology from Immanuel Lutheran College. I have served in the public ministry for over eight years and am currently a pastor at Redemption Lutheran Church & School in Lynnwood, WA. As an ordained minister, I also specialize in approaching counseling and mental health from a Biblical perspective.
I have been married for over 10 years and have been blessed with three children. My family and I love getting outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest for camping and hiking. I also enjoy sports, reading, board games, and working on projects around the house.
