I believe that trust is integral to the counseling process. Therefore, I strive to create a genuine and compassionate setting to assist and guide clients. I also think it is important to recognize and appreciate the powerful effect that relationships have in our lives. My approach as a counselor seeks to build safeguards against negative relationship effects, and further explore and enhance positive relationship effects. Through counseling, my goal is to help you learn more about yourself, and provide practical solutions to better mental well-being, habits, and behaviors.
I have worked in the public ministry for over nine years and currently serve as pastor at Redemption Lutheran Church & School in Lynnwood, WA. I have a Master of Arts in Theology from Immanuel Lutheran Seminary in Eau Claire, WI, and a Master of Science in Education in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin. As both an ordained minister and a professional counselor, I seek to integrate techniques from the mental health field with a Biblical perspective of life, meaning, and well-being.
I have been married for over 10 years and have been blessed with three children. My family and I love getting outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest for camping and hiking. I also enjoy sports, reading, board games, and working on projects around the house.
