Meet Joellen

I find in my work as a therapist that in today's society, we are becoming more and more anxious and depressed. Relationships are full of brokenness and conflict. I work from a relational and play therapy approach with my clients. Relationships with family, peers, and with Jesus are reflected on and processed in sessions at the client's leading. Who we are as a person and how we communicate in relationships can tell us a lot about

ourselves and open paths of healing. I also use play therapy for children and board game play with teens to help them interact and share their struggles in session. I find one of the primary ways children communicate is in relationships when playing or creating.

I have experience working with all ages in the areas of ADD/ADHD, ASD, depression, anxiety, and trauma work. In my spare time, I enjoy a good book, anything soccer (Go Sounders), tall iced teas, and playing with my four grandchildren. - Blessings Joellen
