Xinyu J. Tang | Counseling Intern

Meet Xinyu

xinyu.t@cedarpark.org

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in counseling, educational, and ministry settings. My work includes supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional stress, and identity concerns. My counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, grounded in person-centered principles while integrating practical coping strategies and emotional insight. With backgrounds in psychology, technology, and multicultural experiences, I bring both empathy and thoughtful curiosity to the therapeutic process. I believe meaningful change begins when clients feel genuinely seen, accepted, and understood. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, process difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier patterns of coping. I provide counseling in both English and Mandarin and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their strengths and move toward greater resilience and authenticity.
